Galaxy S10e – Replacing the speaker
Duration: 60 min.
Steps: 10 Steps
Is your Galaxy S10e sounding a bit shy when you're jamming out to music or catching up on videos? Or maybe it's throwing some rattles or cracks into the mix? No worries! With this guide, you can swap out the speaker on your Galaxy S10e all by yourself. Let's get that sound back to its vibrant self!
Step 1
Tap that little Play button in the top right corner of the image to kick off a video for each step. It's like having a repair buddy right there with you!
- First things first, let’s power down your device! Press and hold that power button until you see the 'Power off' option pop up on your screen.
- Now, give it a little tap with your finger to confirm you want to shut things down. Sit tight and watch as your screen goes blank – you’re on your way to a smooth repair!
Step 2
- The back cover is stuck pretty tight to the chassis. No worries! Just warm up your device evenly with a hot air source to loosen up that glue. A cozy temperature around 60 - 80°C should do the trick. Remember, it should still feel comfortable to touch – we want to keep it chill!
- To get that back cover off with ease, grab a flat and flexible tool like the iPlastix or iFlex. You'll also want a few picks handy to help pry the back cover loose all the way around.
- Start by heating the area where you want to begin, then slide your flat tool between the back cover and the frame. You've got this!
Hey there! Just a friendly heads up: the back cover is a bit fragile, so handle it with care. If things get tricky, don’t hesitate to warm it up a couple of times and give it another go. It might take a bit of time—around half an hour—but taking it slow and steady will help you avoid any mishaps. Remember, patience is key to keeping everything intact!
The iPlastix is crafted from plastic, so it’s gentle on your device and won’t leave any scratches. However, it can be a bit soft and tricky to maneuver. On the flip side, the iFlex is your best buddy for slipping into the gap between the glass and the frame, thanks to its ultra-thin, sturdy metal design. Just a heads up, though—it can be a little rough on the frame of your S10e. Start your adventure with the iFlex to get in there, and then switch to the iPlastix for the smooth sailing finish!
Step 3
8 × 3,9 mm Phillips
- Time to get those Phillips screws loose! They’re holding the cover in place, and we need to free it up. Just a little twist and turn, and we’re on our way.
- Now, the cover is cleverly hooked at the top and has a gentle glue holding it down at the bottom. Grab a flat tool and slide it under those tricky spots. Be gentle and coax it loose.
- With a little finesse, you can now lift off the cover along with the charging coil. Look at you go!
Step 4
Battery Connector
When you're prying things open, stick to the side where the little components aren't hanging out. This way, you can keep those delicate capacitors and ICs safe from any accidental mishaps. You've got this!
- Grab your trusty spudger and gently unplug the battery connection from the motherboard. You've got this!

Step 6
7 × 3,9 mm Phillips
- Now, gently set the speaker back over the USB port, give it a little press to snug it in, and secure it with those screws. You’ve got this!
- Just double-check that it's clicked into place at the bottom. You're doing great!
Step 7
Battery Connector
- It's time to connect that battery to the motherboard! Just press the contact onto the connection until you hear a satisfying click. You're doing great!
Step 8
8 × 3,9 mm Phillips
- First, let's get that cover with the antenna back into its cozy spot in the enclosure. Just hook it onto the top like a pro!
- Now, give that cover a gentle press with your fingers until you hear that satisfying click – it's like a little victory!
- Finally, grab your trusty Phillips screwdriver and fasten those screws. You're almost there!
Step 9
Make sure to give all the features of your newly replaced part a thorough test drive. Check everything out to ensure it's running smoothly!
- Fire up your device and give it a whirl with the built-in test mode!
- To jump into the test mode, just dial *#0*#.
- Follow the prompts and check out the screen, cameras, and sensors. You've got this!
Step 10
If the adhesive on the back cover is still holding strong, you can snugly seal up your device without needing a fresh adhesive frame. How cool is that?
- Carefully place the back cover back where it belongs, just like a puzzle piece fitting perfectly into place.
- Give the back cover a gentle press all around to ensure the glue sticks like it’s meant to be there!
