Galaxy S20 – Back cover replacement

Duration: 30 min.
Steps: 3 Steps

With these steps, you'll have your Samsung Galaxy S20's back glass swapped out in no time, all by yourself and without breaking the bank! The process is pretty straightforward since all you need to do is pop off the old back cover and stick on the new one. Typically, the trickiest part of removing a back cover is avoiding any damage to the glass, but no worries here—the back cover is already cracked! If you run into any questions or bumps along the way, feel free to reach out to our support team. We're always here to lend a hand!

Step 1

- First things first, let's power down that device! Turning it off at the start is a smart move to dodge any pesky short circuits while you're working your magic.

Step 2

- Warm up the frame of your device with some hot air until it reaches a cozy 60-80 degrees. This little heat makes peeling off the back cover a breeze!

- Grab a suction cup and stick it on the bottom of your device.

- Give that suction cup a gentle pull and slide your flat opening tool into the gap you've created. Easy peasy!

Step 3

- First things first, let’s make sure there’s no sticky old adhesive hanging around on your device's frame. We want that new back cover to sit nice and flat, right?

- Next up, peel off any protective films from the adhesive surfaces of your shiny new back cover. We want it to shine!

- Now, gently place the back cover over the device and lower it down with care. Think of it like a delicate dance!

- Give that back cover a little love with some hot air to help the adhesive bond. It’s like giving it a warm hug!

- While the glue is cooling, feel free to press down on the back cover with your fingers or even weigh it down with a couple of books. Just make sure it’s snug as a bug!
