Step 1: Gather Your Materials

To start, you’ll need a few basic materials. These include a thread color that matches your apron, a sewing needle, and a pair of scissors. You can also use a thimble to protect your fingers from the needle.

Step 2: Cut a Piece of Thread

Cut a piece of thread that’s about 21 centimeters long. This will give you enough thread to sew the strap back on without having too much excess.

Step 3: Thread the Needle

Insert one side of the thread into the eye of the sewing needle. You can wet the thread a bit to make it easier to insert into the hole.

Step 4: Sew the Strap Back On

Make sure the apron is aligned correctly and insert the needle from where you want to start to repair the fabric. Begin from right to left and make a knot so the thread can’t move. Pull the thread as far as possible but still able to create a knot.

Step 5: Continue Sewing

Continue sewing from right to left, starting each new stitch a few centimeters from the previous stitch. Make sure the thread goes all the way through.

Step 6: Tie a Knot

Once you reach the end of the left side, make two small knots. Begin from the bottom and pull to tighten the knot. The knot should be small and tight enough to not be able to rip.
