How To Replace An Iphone Battery
How to Replace an iPhone Battery
Replacing an iPhone battery is a simple procedure that can be completed in about 30 minutes. You will need a few tools, including a Phillips #00 screwdriver, a suction cup, and a spudger. You can purchase these tools online or at your local hardware store.
Before you begin, power off your iPhone and disconnect it from any cables or chargers.
Step 1: Remove the bottom screws
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the two screws at the bottom of the iPhone.
Step 2: Apply suction and lift the screen
Place the suction cup on the bottom of the screen, just above the Home button. Pull up on the suction cup to create a gap between the screen and the frame.
Insert a spudger into the gap and gently pry up the screen.
Step 3: Disconnect the battery
Use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the logic board.
Step 4: Remove the battery
Grip the battery tab and pull it straight up to remove the battery from the frame.
Step 5: Install the new battery
Place the new battery into the frame and press it down until it clicks into place.
Step 6: Connect the battery
Use a spudger to connect the battery connector to the logic board.
Step 7: Close the iPhone
Press the screen down into the frame until it clicks into place. Replace the two screws at the bottom of the iPhone.
Your iPhone battery has now been replaced. Power on your iPhone and check if the battery is working properly.
