How To Replace Upper Case On Macbook Pro 13 Inch Mid 2009

“`html

Mid 2009 MacBook Pro 13″ Repair Tutorial

Step 1: Remove the Lower Case

To kick off this repair adventure, grab your trusty screwdriver and remove ten screws securing the lower case of your MacBook Pro 13″ Unibody. You’ll need seven 3 mm Phillips screws and three 13.5 mm Phillips screws. Once those are out, gently lift the lower case and slide it towards the back of the computer to free those sneaky mounting tabs.

Step 2: Disconnect the Battery

For safety’s sake, let’s disconnect the battery connector from the logic board to avoid any shocking surprises. Use the flat end of a spudger to lift that battery connector right out of its socket. It’s like a little game of operation, but with less buzzing!

Step 3: Remove the Fan Connector

Next up, we need to pry the fan connector out of its seat. A little twist of the spudger from beneath the fan cable wires will do the trick. Just be careful not to break the plastic fan socket off the logic board—nobody wants that drama!

Step 4: Unscrew the Fan

Now, let’s get that fan out of the way. Remove three screws securing it to the upper case: one 6.5 mm Phillips, one 5.5 mm Phillips, and one 4.5 mm Phillips. Once those are gone, lift the fan out like a pro!
