Replacing the Spring in an HP Officejet Cleaning Station

Instructions
1. Remove the cleaning station.
The cleaning station is located on the right side of the carriage support. To remove it, first unplug the printer from its power source. Then, remove the screws that hold the cleaning station in place and carefully lift it out.
2. Remove the top cover of the cleaning station.
The top cover of the cleaning station is held in place by four screws. Remove these screws and lift off the top cover.
3. Remove the wiper/cap assembly.
The wiper/cap assembly is located inside the top cover of the cleaning station. To remove it, simply lift it up and out of the assembly.
4. Remove the small molding.
The small molding is located on the left side of the cleaning station. To remove it, simply pull it off.
5. Spring back the small black plastic blade retaining the lever.
The small black plastic blade is located on the right side of the cleaning station. To spring it back, simply use a pair of tweezers or your fingers to push it back until it is flush with the assembly.
6. Lift up the lever.
The lever is located on the right side of the cleaning station. To lift it up, simply use a pair of tweezers or your fingers to pull it up until it is vertical.
7. You should now be able to see the broken spring.
The broken spring is located on the right side of the cleaning station. It is a small, thin spring that is attached to the lever.
8. Replace the spring.
To replace the spring, simply hook one end of the spring onto the lever and the other end onto the cleaning station. Make sure that the spring is taut.
9. Replace the small molding.
To replace the small molding, simply snap it back into place on the left side of the cleaning station.
10. Replace the wiper/cap assembly.
To replace the wiper/cap assembly, simply drop it back into the top cover of the cleaning station.
11. Replace the top cover of the cleaning station.
To replace the top cover of the cleaning station, simply align it with the cleaning station and snap it into place. Make sure that all of the screws are tightened.
12. Replace the cleaning station.
To replace the cleaning station, simply align it with the carriage support and slide it into place. Make sure that all of the screws are tightened.
13. Plug the printer back into its power source.
Once the cleaning station is replaced, plug the printer back into its power source and turn it on. The printer should now be working properly.
Troubleshooting
If the printer is still not working properly after replacing the spring, there may be another issue with the printer. You can try the following troubleshooting tips:
- Make sure that the printer is properly connected to its power source.
- Make sure that the printer is properly connected to your computer.
