Step 1

– Alright, before diving into the repair adventure, let’s power down your device. Just hold that standby button until the shutdown menu pops up on your screen.

– Now, go ahead and tap to turn off the device.

Step 2

– Start by warming up the glue around the edges with a hot air tool until it reaches about 60°C. Give the back cover a little heat until it’s just warm enough to handle comfortably.

– Next, take a super thin, flat tool like the iFlex and gently slide it between the back cover and the frame. Work your way around the edge to pop one corner of the back cover loose.

– Now, slide in a pick! Feel free to use additional picks to help lift the back cover all the way around. Just remember, no tool should go deeper than 5 mm!

– Keep sliding the iFlex around the edges to break the glue loose everywhere.

– Once the glue is all detached, you can carefully lift the back cover off. Just be cautious as there’s still one flex cable hanging on!

Step 3

– Start by unscrewing those pesky screws on the bracket. You’ve got this!

– Next, gently lift out the bracket. It’s snug at the top, but a little nudge will set it free.

– Now, grab a plastic tool and unplug that connector. Easy peasy!

Step 4

– First, let’s get that bracket screw out of the way and pop off the bracket. It’s just a little stuck at the top, but you got this!

– Next, gently unplug the connector using a plastic tool. Easy peasy!

– Now, it’s time to remove the back cover. Go ahead and lift it off!

Step 5

– Time to loosen those screws holding the bracket over the mainboard! Keep them all in one place so they don’t wander off.

– Look out for the screw with the white moisture indicator – that’s your cue to simply pop it out!

– The bracket is giving you a bit of a hug. Use a flat tool to gently loosen each clip, one at a time.

– Now, carefully lift that bracket out of the device and give yourself a pat on the back!

Step 6

– Disconnect the rear camera’s connector and gently remove it from the device.

Step 7

– Gently set that rear camera right into its cozy spot.

– Now, let’s connect the camera with its connector like a pro!

Step 8

– Slide the mainboard bracket into place at a slight angle so those little tabs can lock in like they were meant to be best friends.

– Tighten up the screws on the mainboard bracket to keep everything snug and secure.

Step 9

– Gently place the back cover at the edge of your device and connect that fingerprint connector like a pro.

– Next up, grab the bracket and attach it securely. Make sure it’s locked in tight, then give that screw a little twist to fasten it down.

Step 10

– Connect the battery connector snugly.

– Place the bracket on top and ensure it clicks into place.

– Tighten the screws on the bracket to keep everything secure.

Step 11

– Attach the back cover the right way around. Heat it again to make the glue softer and then press it on for a longer while so the glue can cool and bond.

Step 12

– Alright, let’s power up your device and give all the key features a whirl:

– Touch/Brightness: Check out the extremes! Test both the brightest and dimmest settings on your display. Try dragging any app across the screen in a fun zig-zag dance. If the app keeps up with your finger, you’re in good shape!

– Charging function: Plug in that USB and see if your device is thirsty for power!

– Front/Back Camera: Snap some pics and make sure both cameras are ready for their close-up!

– Vibration Motor: Give it a shake! Feel that buzz? Great!

– Volume/Standby Buttons: Press away and see if the sound and standby features are still in the game!

– Earpiece/Speaker/Microphone: Make a call or play some tunes to ensure everything sounds just right!

– Flash: Test it out and light up your world!
