Software Bug or Conflict

The first step is to try restarting your phone. This can often fix software bugs that may be causing the lines on the screen.

If restarting your phone does not fix the problem, you can try updating your phone’s software. To do this, go to Settings > Software updates.

If you have updated your phone’s software and the lines are still there, you can try resetting your phone to factory settings. This will erase all of your data, so be sure to back up your data before you do this.

Screen Disconnect

If the lines on the screen are only visible when you press on the screen, it is possible that the screen is not properly connected to the phone’s motherboard.

To fix this, you will need to open up your phone and reseat the screen cable. If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, you can take your phone to a repair shop.

Faulty Display

If the lines on the screen are always visible, it is possible that the display is faulty.

To fix this, you will need to replace the display. You can purchase a replacement display from Salvation Repair’s website and follow our repair guide to replace it.

Damaged Cable

If the lines on the screen are only visible in certain areas, it is possible that the cable that connects the display to the motherboard is damaged.

To fix this, you will need to replace the cable. You can purchase a replacement cable from Salvation Repair’s website and follow our repair guide to replace it.

Motherboard Malfunction

If you have tried all of the above solutions and the lines are still there, it is possible that the motherboard is malfunctioning.

If the motherboard is malfunctioning, you will need to replace it. This is a complex repair, so it is best to take your phone to a repair shop.
