Soundcore Liberty 4 NC Teardown

Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 5 Steps

Step 1

– For the best results, grab a plastic prying tool! Its gentle touch keeps things safe and sound. Start at the button and slowly work your way up the sides, gently prying upwards. You’ll find that the component is held in place by clips on both sides, and they’ll pop free when you give them a little upward nudge. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 2

– Pop those side clips with a gentle pry—once they’re free, just lift them up with care. The main piece should slide right out, but heads up: the wireless charging wires are taped to the plastic case, so don’t yank. All the other parts stay put with the earbud slots.

Step 3

– Once you’ve carefully pulled it out, you’ll get a good look at the rest of the board. Now, it’s time to free the battery from its cozy adhesive grip at the back. A little patience here, and you’re good to go!

Step 4

– Snap a pic with the battery out and zoom in on those tiny components!

Step 5

– Here’s a look at the battery—this is where I paused my teardown adventure.

– After my headphones took an unexpected swim in the washing machine, the battery and board were corroded. I grabbed some 100% Absolute Ethanol (the good stuff) and gave the board and battery leads a gentle clean. Shockingly, that did the trick! If you’re dealing with similar troubles, hope this helps you out. I might even take apart the right headphone later, since it’s still playing hard to get.

Success!
