Anker Soundcore Life Q30 Headphone Driver Replacement

Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 4 Steps

Ready to bring your Anker Soundcore Life Q30 headphones back to life? This guide walks you through swapping out the driver—the part responsible for all that sweet sound. If your music is crackling or just plain silent, a new driver might do the trick. You’ll need to solder the replacement driver to the main circuit board, so get your tools ready. Before getting started, make sure the headphones are powered off and not plugged in for charging.

Step 1

– Start by orienting your headphones so the speakers are pointing towards you, with the headband stretching away. Think of it as getting ready for a good listen!

– Next, adjust the folding hinge until the speakers are facing upwards. This makes handling and accessing parts way easier.

– Finally, make sure you can comfortably reach the edge where the cushion joins the rest of the headphones—this will help as you proceed with the repair. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 2

– Hold the right side of your headphones steady with one hand—show ‘em who’s boss.

– With your other hand, work the plastic opening tool around the edge of the cushion like you’re sneaking into a cookie jar.

– Gently pop that cushion off with the tool—no need to get hulk-like here.

– Set the right ear cushion aside, then repeat the same groove on the left side.

Step 3

– Grab your Phillips #00 screwdriver and unscrew the four 5.7 mm screws from the headphone driver. (Channel your inner DIY legend!)

– Gently separate the headphone driver from the rest of the headphones. Take it slow—no need to Hulk-smash anything!

Step 4

– Gently pry the drivers out of the headphones, being careful not to damage anything.

– Disconnect the wires from the circuit board that connect to the drivers, keeping track of where each wire goes.

– Remember the wire connections so you can solder them back correctly when reassembling.
