Lenovo IdeaPad A1-07 Speaker Replacement
Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 4 Steps
If your Lenovo IdeaPad A1-07 speaker has gone silent or sounds like it’s been through a karaoke night gone wrong, it might be time for a replacement! Over time, speakers can wear out from all that music and video bingeing. This guide is here to help you gently take apart your tablet so you can access and swap out that speaker like a pro. Let’s get started!
Step 1
When you’re about halfway there, just use your thumb to gently slide the rest of the back cover off. You’ve got this!
– Let’s get this repair started! Use the blue plastic opening tool to gently pry the back cover off, starting at the lock screen switch near the volume button – it’s the perfect spot to get some leverage.
– Carefully wedge the tool in until you hear the back cover start to pop off the device’s body – it’s like a little ‘click’ of satisfaction.
– Now, slide the opening tool down the length of the device to completely remove the back cover – you’re making great progress!
Step 2
Hey there! Take it easy when removing the frame—yanking it off might snap the little teeth that hold it to the screen. Be gentle and patient, and you’ll do great!
The gray frame is still hanging on, connected to the device by a couple of wires that run from the motherboard to the speaker. Hang tight, you’re almost there!
– Grab your trusty Phillips #000 screwdriver and tackle those 18 little 4mm screws like a pro!
– Now, take your blue plastic opening tool and gently slide it between the screen and the gray frame. Keep going until you feel a bit of resistance—you’re on the right track!
– With your opening tool in hand, nudge those teeth towards the center of the device and carefully lift off the frame. You’ve got this!

– You’ll find the speaker nestled in the plastic grey frame, cozy in the bottom right corner.
