Envision EN7410 Teardown
Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 14 Steps
Ready to take this monitor apart? Grab two Phillips-head screwdrivers in different sizes, and let’s get started! Follow along as we carefully disassemble this unit step by step. If you need a hand at any point, you can always schedule a repair for professional help. Keep your cool, and let’s make this teardown smooth and straightforward!
Step 1
– Gently flip the monitor so that its screen is facing down.
– Unscrew the four screws that are keeping the stand attached to the monitor.
Step 2
– Start by unscrewing the two screws holding the case together. Once they’re gone, the back should come off pretty easily.
– The monitor’s held in place with some clips, so you’ll need to gently bend the backing backward to detach it from the screen. A little wiggle goes a long way!
Step 3
– Start by disconnecting the circuits linked to the monitor’s calibration buttons. It’s not as scary as it sounds—just a gentle unplug.
– Next, take out this section by removing the three screws holding it down. Keep those screws somewhere safe (your pocket is not a safe place, trust me).
– Heads up: this part is still connected by wires, so move it with care—no yanking or wild moves.
Step 4
– Gently hold just below those cables and give them a little tug to disconnect from the top circuit board. Easy does it—you’re almost there!
Step 5
– You’ve got four little screws on each side of the monitor just waiting for some attention! Unscrew them to start disassembling the monitor like a pro.
– These screws may be tiny, but they’re mighty! Keep them safe in a little container so they don’t wander off during your repair adventure.
Step 6
– Take out the four screws holding the circuit board cover, and gently lift the backing off.
– Double-check that you finished Step 3, since this part is directly tied to it.
Step 7
– Once you’ve wrapped up the previous steps, go ahead and take off these panels.
– Peel away any tape that’s hiding screws or wires you’ll be dealing with later.
Step 8
– Unscrew the three little guys holding the circuit board in place.
– Grab your trusty mini Phillips-head screwdriver for this part.
Step 9
– Unscrew the two smaller screws on the side circuit board. Easy peasy!
– Grab your mini Philip’s head screwdriver and get to work. It’s the perfect size!
Step 10
– Gently pop off the metal frame that’s hugging the LCD monitor.
– This step is a lot like what you did with the other frame back in step 2—just a little déjà vu, but with more screen.
Step 11
– Lift the green circuit boards with a little care.
– Hold the screen upright and gently slide the black screen off.
Step 12
– Start by carefully peeling off the plastic filter sheets that are covering the LCD glass panel. No need to rush—take your time!
– Now, gently place your fingers on the sides of the glass panel and lift it up. It should come off pretty smoothly. Easy does it!
Step 13
– Get your monitor ready by placing it white side up – this will help you access what’s inside
– Now, carefully pry the plastic black frame away from the rest of the monitor, just like you did with the previous frames
Step 14
– Gently lift the two metal bars attached to the circuit board.
– This will separate the two parts, no problem!
– You’ve successfully completed the teardown of your Envision EN7410 monitor. Nice job!
