How to Fix the Worx Pegasus Workbench lower tray
Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 4 Steps
It’s not uncommon for these trays to get separated from each other, so don’t worry if that’s what’s happened to yours
The lower tray on your WORX Pegasus is a key player in keeping your bench stable and secure. But sometimes, it can get detached – either partially or completely – which means you can’t open your bench all the way. Don’t worry, we’ve got a simple and permanent solution to get you back in business. With a few easy steps, you’ll be able to fix this issue and have your bench working smoothly again. If you need help along the way, you can always schedule a repair with Salvation Repair.
Step 1
– If your tray came loose, start by putting it back together just like it was when it came from the factory. Get it back to its original form before moving on to the next steps.
Step 2
– Make the smallest hole possible that’s still big enough for a zip tie to sneak through. I grabbed a 1.5mm drill bit for the job.
Step 3
– Grab a Zip Tie and thread it through the hole you just drilled, wrapping it around the hinge barrel. Easy enough, right?
– Trim off any extra length with scissors or wire cutters to keep things neat.
– Repeat this process on at least two hinges—start with the leftmost and rightmost. For the best results, tackle all six hinges.
Step 4
– You’ve got this! Wrap it up and celebrate your victory. If you hit a roadblock, you can always schedule a repair.
