Asus TF300T Tablet Motherboard Replacement
Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 4 Steps
The motherboard is the brain of your device, controlling everything and connecting all the important components. Be gentle when handling it, as the wires can be super sensitive and easily damaged. Take your time and work carefully to avoid any accidents.
Step 1
– Unplug that dock and double-check the power is completely off—no accidental shocks on our watch!
– Grab your plastic opening tool and start prying the screen up, separating it from the outer casing. No need to Hulk out—steady hands make happy screens.
– When you reach the charging port, take it slow. That thin plastic isn’t built for battle, so be gentle to avoid any unfortunate snap moments.
Step 2
For most of the replacement process, you can leave the battery in place once the switch is turned off. Just a heads-up: metal tools and electronics don’t mix well, so keep things safe and steer clear of accidental short circuits!
– Gently lift the black circuit board protector. It’s like peeling the backing off a sticker, just a little more delicate.
– Before you dive into any work on your tablet, make sure to turn off the hard power switch. Grab a tool and slide it to the ‘off’ position. Safety first!
Step 3
– Time to get started! Use a Phillips #00 Screwdriver to carefully remove the nine 3mm screws connected to the motherboard – it’s an easy first step.
– Next up, grab your trusty tweezers and gently remove the connected part, just like you see in the picture. You’re doing great!
