JUSTFOG Q16 Pro Teardown

Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 6 Steps

Step 1

– This guide skips the disassembly of the clearomizer (the part highlighted in the picture), since in newer models it’s all one solid piece and can’t be taken apart. Instead, we’ll focus on the main body of the cigarette. If you need help at any point, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 2

– Give that clearomizer a twist to the left, and it should come right off!

Step 3

– Let’s get started by unscrewing the four screws that keep those plastic covers snug against the metal frame:

– Take out the two Torx T4 screws located at the top of the cigarette body, just above the clearomizer plug.

– Now, head to the bottom of the cigarette body and remove the two Torx T4 screws near the USB port.

Step 4

– Use a plastic spudger to gently pop off the bottom lid. A little wiggle, and it should come right off.

– Next, tackle the top plastic lid. If it’s feeling a bit stubborn due to some debris, grab the lower part of the clearomizer, use it to give the top cover a gentle tug, and it should come off easily.

Step 5

– Let’s get that front panel off:

– The front button is just chilling in its slot—no glue here. If it’s being stubborn, grab some ESD tweezers to gently lift it out.

– Slide a plastic spudger under the top edge and start to lift the panel.

– Keep going around with a plastic opening pick until the front plate comes free.

Step 6

– Gently remove the board and battery—grab the top of the board with tweezers, or give the lower part of the battery a careful nudge with a round plastic spudger. No need to rush, slow and steady wins this race.

– Three foam pads keep the battery protected. The side pad is stuck on both the battery and the board, so peel it away with a little patience.

– You’re looking at a 14500 lithium battery. This one’s made by EVE, runs at 3.7V, packs a 900mAh punch, and delivers 3.33Wh of power—small but mighty!
