Follow this guide to swap out the screen on your Asus Eee PC 1005HA laptop with ease. Let’s get hands-on and bring your device back to life!
Step 1
– Flip your laptop over like a pancake!
– Find those two sneaky battery lock tabs.
Step 2
The left tab will stay unlocked, but you’ll need to hold onto the right tab to keep things steady.
– Slide the tabs outward to unlock the battery.
– Holding the right tab open, slide the battery out of the laptop.
Step 3
– Grab those trusty tweezers and carefully pop off all six screw covers from the screen bezel. Easy peasy, right?
– Next up, unscrew the six 4.6 mm screws holding the bezel in place. You’re practically a pro already!

– Grab your trusty plastic opening tool and gently pop those plastic clips loose that are holding the screen bezel in place. You’ve got this!
– Now, with care and a steady hand, lift the bezel away from the display. Easy peasy!
Step 5
Heads up! Your screen is still tethered to the laptop by some cables. Handle them gently and with care—they’re delicate little connectors!
– Unscrew the four 3.6 mm screws holding the screen in place.
– Carefully lift the screen away from the laptop, nice and slow, like you’re handling a treasure.
Step 6
– Peel away that plastic tape holding the display cables on the back of your screen—it’s got to go!
– Gently slide the display cable connector out of its socket on the back of the screen—smooth moves!
Step 7
– Time to tackle those pesky screws! Start by taking out the four 3.1 mm screws that are holding the sides of the display housing frame in place.
– Once those screws are out, gently lift off the housing frame. You’ve got this!
