Batteries get tired and lose their mojo over time, so if your battery life feels like it’s always running on fumes, it’s probably time for a swap. Just make sure your computer is powered down and unplugged before you say goodbye to the old battery!
Step 1
Power down your computer first—safety first, hero!
Press down firmly to keep those screws from slipping out of place.
– Grab your Phillips #1 screwdriver and unscrew all twelve 6 mm screws holding the back of your laptop in place. Yep, all of them—time to set those screws free!

Step 2
– Pop off the laptop’s back cover with ease—it’ll come off without a fuss.
Step 3
Be gentle with that battery cable! A little too much tugging could cause some serious damage to its connection with the laptop.
– Disconnect the battery from the computer.
Step 4
– Carefully unscrew all four 6 mm screws holding down the battery using your trusty Phillips #1 screwdriver. You’ve got this!

– Carefully take the battery out of the computer.
