Step 1
– Carefully remove the thirteen 6.2mm Phillips #1 screws found at the bottom of your device. You’ve got this!
Step 2
– Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry up the back panel. Work your way around the edges with patience until the panel pops off.
Step 3
– Give the small black button on the motherboard, just above the battery, a gentle press and hold for five seconds. It’s a quick move, but it gets the job done.
Step 4
– Grab two trusty plastic opening tools, snugly grip the connector linking the battery to the motherboard, and give it a confident tug to unplug. Easy does it—you’re rocking this repair!
Step 5
– Grab your trusty Phillips #1 screwdriver and remove the two 6.2 mm screws holding the battery in place—one on each side. Easy breezy, you’re doing great!
Step 6
– Gently pop the battery out of the casing—no need for brute force, just a steady hand and a little patience.
Step 7
– Spot that keyboard cable chillin’ on the motherboard? Grab two plastic opening tools and get to it—place one tool on each side of the connector. Gently slide those gray tabs outward, then wiggle the cable free from the motherboard like a pro.
Step 8
– Grab a plastic opening tool and gently pry up the white hinge on the touchpad cable connector. Once it’s lifted, carefully detach the cable from the motherboard. Nice and easy – you’ve got this!
Step 9
– Grab two nifty plastic opening tools and give each side of the speaker cable connector a gentle squeeze. Now, with a little finesse, pull the cable away from the motherboard like you’re unveiling a surprise gift!
Step 10
– Peel off that tape snugly holding the display cable’s connector—it’s been working hard, but it’s time for a break!
– Grab two trusty plastic opening tools, one for each side, and gently wiggle and pull the display cable free from the motherboard. Easy does it!
Step 11
– Unscrew the single 6.2 mm Phillips #1 screw holding the wireless chip on the left side of the motherboard.
Step 12
– Let’s get started! Remove the three 6.2 mm Phillips #1 screws that hold the motherboard in place inside the laptop casing. Take your time and make sure they’re all out before moving on to the next step.
Step 13
– Head back to the wireless chip, give it a gentle wiggle, and carefully detach it from the connector hanging out on the side of the motherboard.
Step 14
– It’s time to set that motherboard free! Carefully lift it out of the laptop casing.
Step 15
– After gently liberating the motherboard from its cozy spot inside the device, give it a flip to check out the hidden side where the RAM chip lives.
– Now, with your thumbs ready, slide that RAM card downward and out of its snug little slot. Smooth and steady does the trick!
