Step 1

– Carefully remove the thirteen 6.2mm Phillips #1 screws found at the bottom of your device. You’ve got this!

– Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry up the back panel. Work your way around the edges with patience until the panel pops off.

– Give the small black button on the motherboard, just above the battery, a gentle press and hold for five seconds. It’s a quick move, but it gets the job done.

– Grab two trusty plastic opening tools, snugly grip the connector linking the battery to the motherboard, and give it a confident tug to unplug. Easy does it—you’re rocking this repair!

Step 5

– Grab your trusty Phillips #1 screwdriver and remove the two 6.2 mm screws holding the battery in place—one on each side. Easy breezy, you’re doing great!

– Unscrew the single 6.2 mm Phillips #1 screw holding the wireless chip on the left side of the motherboard.

– Head back to the wireless chip, give it a gentle wiggle, and carefully detach it from the connector hanging out on the side of the motherboard.

– It’s time to set that motherboard free! Carefully lift it out of the laptop casing.

– After gently liberating the motherboard from its cozy spot inside the device, give it a flip to check out the hidden side where the RAM chip lives.
