Step 1

– Alright, let’s get this lower case off! Grab your Phillips #0 screwdriver and remove these screws:

– Six screws measuring 9 mm — keep track of them!

– Four screws measuring 11 mm — don’t mix them up!

Step 2

– Let’s get started! Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry the top cover away from the laptop.

– Begin by gently prying at the front of the laptop – it’s the perfect place to start.

– Keep working your way around the cover, and don’t stop until you reach the area just under the screen. This will help release the front cover and give you access to the inside.

Step 3

– To pop that ZIF latch loose, just give the little white tab a gentle lift.

– Now, gently tug the white ribbon cable out of the socket to disconnect it. You’ve got this!

Step 4

– Flip the grey rotating tab up to unlock the ZIF latch holding the keyboard cable in place—it’s like waving goodbye to that little clip!

– Now, gently slide the black and blue ribbon cable out of the connector like a smooth operator—no tugging or yanking allowed!

Step 5

– To get your device up and running again, just reverse these steps – easy peasy!

– You did it! If you need help with anything else, you can always schedule a repair
