Steps: 5 Steps
If your device isn’t reading disks and you’ve ruled out firmware issues, this guide is here to help you tackle the problem step by step with confidence and ease. Let’s get your device back in action!
Step 1
– Before diving in, make sure the laptop is totally unplugged from every power source and take a moment to shut it down completely.
– Flip the laptop onto its back like you’re getting it ready for a back massage.
Step 2
– Push the release latch and, while doing so, pull the battery backwards like a pro.
Step 3
– Give the battery a gentle tug and slide it confidently out of its cozy little bay.
Step 4
– Alright, flip that laptop over so it’s chilling on its back—like a turtle ready for some action.
– Next up, grab your trusty Phillips #1 screwdriver and remove the 5mm screw holding the Optical Disk Drive in place. Easy peasy!
Step 5
– Gently nudge the Optical Disk Drive out with your trusty spudger tool, just like in the picture, and give it a little tug from the front cover. You’ve got this!
