Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 5 Steps

Follow this guide to swap out the motherboard in your Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. It’s not as tricky as it sounds! If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 1

– Grab your plastic opening tools and gently work your way around the edge of your Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. Keep at it until you can pop off the back cover.

– Watch out when inserting the opening tools to avoid messing up the speakers on both the left and right sides. The picture shows a risky spot for the small tool on the right.

– When you’re putting it all back together, avoid inserting the bottom, left, or right edges first to prevent damage to the power button and ensure the front panel sits perfectly flush.

Step 2

– Carefully peel back the tape covering the ribbon cable connectors and set it aside. With your trusty opening tools, gently lift the connector latches to disconnect those ribbon cables. You’ve got this!

Step 3

– Grab your trusty Phillips #00 screwdriver and gently unscrew the ten little screws that secure the battery to the motherboard. Take your time—you’re doing great!

Step 4

– Gently pull back those ribbon cables, lift up the original battery, and give it a firm but friendly nudge upward to disconnect it from underneath. Nice and easy!

Step 5

– Time to put your device back together! Just follow these steps in reverse order.
