DIY Nintendo DS Bottom LCD Screen Replacement Guide

Once you’ve got that circuit board out of the way, the bottom LCD screen can be easily lifted out from your Nintendo DS.
Step 1
In the pictures, you’ll see a flathead screwdriver in action. Don’t worry if you’ve only got a Phillips #00 screwdriver—it’ll do the job just as well!
Step 2
– Time to get that battery out! Use a plastic opening tool or spudger to carefully pry it loose from the bottom. Don’t have one? No worries, your trusty fingernails can come to the rescue if needed.

– Pop out the battery from your Nintendo DS.
Step 4
If your device has a lanyard attached, feel free to remove it for easier access to that tricky top-left screw.
– Take out the seven 6.4mm Y00 screws on the back. Time to get those screws out of their cozy home.
Step 5
– Alright, let’s do this! Use your hands to gently pop off the back panel from the main case.
– Now, carefully separate the back from the front and set it aside.
Step 6
Handle that screwdriver with care – we don’t want any accidental slips that could damage the circuit board!
– Grab your trusty Phillips #00 screwdriver and unscrew the four little guys holding the circuit board in place. You got this!

Be gentle with those cables! Avoid using pliers to pull them, as they can get damaged pretty easily.
– Pop the black clip up to unlock those two big ribbon cables.
– Gently wiggle the ribbon cables down and out using just your fingers.
Step 8
Handle with care! Those teeny-tiny ribbon cables are super delicate, so be gentle to avoid any damage.
Tweezers can be a handy sidekick for plucking out those tiny ribbon cables.
– First, spot the two tiny ribbon cables hiding under the big one on the right. They’re a bit sneaky, but you’ve got this!
– Next, gently slide the locks for those small ribbon cables to the side and carefully pop them off. Just like that, the cables are free!

– Now it’s time to get those ribbon cables in place – gently feed them through the opening on the board.
– Next, carefully pull up and remove the circuit board, then set it aside where it’s safe and out of the way.
Step 11
– Now that you’ve got everything back together, just retrace your steps in reverse to complete the reassembly.
