Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 7 Steps

Is your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablet playing hard to get and refusing to turn on, even after a good charge? Or maybe the battery is running out faster than a kid on a sugar rush? It sounds like it might be time for a battery swap! This guide will walk you through the steps to replace that battery and get your tablet back in action. Just a heads up: some images show a metal spudger, but we recommend using a heavy-duty spudger to keep those delicate circuits safe and sound. For more info on connectors, check out this page.

Step 1

– Slide the plastic opening tool between the glass screen and the back cover, making sure the curved end is snugly under the glass. Gently nudge the back cover away from the glass screen.

– Make sure to lift the entire display from the body, not just the glass from the display. You might need to reach a bit deeper for a smooth removal.

– Keep working the plastic opening tool around the entire device screen to fully detach the back cover from the glass screen.

Step 2

– Carefully nudge the screen upwards with your fingertip—easy does it!

Step 3

– Time to get started! Gently peel off the green tape covering the battery connector using your fingers.

Step 4

– Gently slide the flat end of your trusty heavy-duty spudger between the wires and under the battery connector. With a careful touch, lift the black battery connector upwards to gracefully disconnect it from the motherboard.
