How to Replace Sony Smart Watch SW2 Battery: Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Sony Smart Watch SW2 Battery Replacement

Put the power button and watch band to the side; they’ve done their part and won’t be needed for the next steps of our adventure.

– Pop the smartwatch off the band by pressing the back of the watch case.

– Heads-up! The power button might slip out when the smartwatch is removed.

Step 2

– Grab a trusty plastic opening tool and gently pop that LCD screen out of the watch housing like a pro.

Step 3

– Grab your trusty plastic opener or spudger and gently pop that screen assembly connector loose—easy does it!

Step 4

– Put the detached LCD screen aside to reach the battery.

Step 5

In this picture, the connection is already disconnected, so you won’t be able to lift the battery this high.

– Gently lift one side of the battery—take it slow and steady! There’s a slim black circuit stuck to the back of the battery that links up with the motherboard and charger, so keep an eye on that.

Step 6

– Gently press down on the black piece while carefully wiggling the battery free. Take your time and move around the edges without lifting that black piece too high. You’ve got this!

Step 7

– Once you’ve pried the battery loose from the adhesive, carefully desolder those red and black battery wires like a pro.

– Now, go ahead and remove that battery!
