DIY Asus ZenFone 5 Lite Vibration Motor Replacement Guide
Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 7 Steps
Step 1
Hold onto that cover like it’s your best friend’s phone! Keep things snug and make sure the cover and the phone’s guts stay cozy together. We wouldn’t want to break the touch sensor’s connection to the phone’s motherboard, would we?
– Take a thin plastic tool and pop off the back cover of the phone. Once you’ve got it started, slide the tool around the phone’s edges to loosen the adhesive. With all sides freed, lift that back cover off.
Step 2
One of the seven screws is hiding under a white sticker marked with ‘CS’. No need to peel it off—just poke through with your screwdriver and twist it out like a pro. Easy peasy!
– Time to get a bit technical! Start by unscrewing the seven Phillips #0 screws found on the bottom of your phone. You got this!
Step 3
– Grab your trusty nylon spudger and gently wiggle it to pop off that lower cover. If you feel like you need a little extra help, the opening tool is your best buddy for lifting it off with ease.
Step 4
Gently press down on the charging port circuit board with one finger while you carefully pry off the connection. This way, you’ll keep everything intact and avoid any breakage mishaps!
– Grab your trusty prying tool and give it a gentle nudge to lift off that sneaky connection hiding behind the black cover. You’ve got this!
Step 5
– Find that shiny gold-tipped black wire cozying up to the charging port circuit board. It’s your golden ticket!
– Slide your trusty plastic prying tool under the silver clasp and give it a gentle nudge to pop it off.
Step 6
– Grab your trusty plastic prying tool and gently slide it in on the left side of the charging port. Now, with a delicate touch, lift the charging port up and carefully detach it with your hand. Easy peasy!
Step 7
The vibration motor is that shiny round piece chilling at the bottom right of your phone.
– Now it’s time to piece everything back together by simply retracing your steps. You’ve got this!
– If you decide to take a break from this guide, that’s totally fine.
– If you find yourself in a jam, don’t hesitate to schedule a repair!
Success!
