The Zenfone 2 Laser features a mono rear-facing speaker designed to blast out audio for calls, music, and videos. Before diving in, double-check that you’ve got the right model, as different variants might have a different repair dance. For Step 1, make sure to power down completely. If the screen is damaged and you can’t perform the regular shutdown (as shown in Step 1), you can follow the alternative steps in Step 2 and Step 3 to manually shut down your device. While an emergency shutdown isn’t the top recommendation, it’s crucial to avoid the dreaded short circuiting. Step 1
Hey there! If your power button is giving you the silent treatment, don’t sweat it! Head on over to steps 2 and 3 to give your device a little manual shut-eye.
– Give that power button a nice, firm press and hold it until you see the menu pop up with the option to power off. You’ve got this!
Step 2
– Over on the lower right-hand side of your gadget, find the notch and wiggle your fingernail in there to pop the rear panel loose.
– Keep sliding your finger along the seam to take the rear cover off completely.
Step 4
– Grab your trusty screwdriver and remove those ten 2.5mm Phillips #00 screws—they’re holding on tight!
– Next up, tackle the two 5.5mm Phillips #00 screws. They’re a bit bigger, but you’ve got this!
Step 5
If the camera lens gasket pops out, no worries—just pop it back into place around the lens. Easy peasy!
– Alright, now get a good grip on the lower part of the frame and gently lift it up. You’ve got this!
Step 6
Make sure the speaker contacts are perfectly lined up with the pin on the circuit board. It’s all about that alignment magic!
– To put your device back together, just retrace your steps in reverse order. You’ve got this!
