Step 1

– First things first, unplug everything and give your phone a little break. Let’s get this thing fixed!

– The adhesive keeps the back cover snugly attached to the frame—like a trusty sidekick holding things together!

– Grab a suction handle and stick it to the bottom edge of the rear cover, making sure to position it as close to the edge as you can. Let’s get that cover off!

– Give that suction handle a good, confident tug to pop open a little gap beneath the rear cover. You’re doing great!

– Now, slip the tip of your trusty opening pick into that gap you just created. Nice and easy!

Step 5

– Gently glide your trusty opening tool along the bottom edge to loosen the adhesive that’s holding it in place.

Step 6

– Gently glide your opening pick along the left edge and then up the top edge to break that stubborn adhesive seal.

Step 7

– Gently glide your pick down the right edge to break free the remaining adhesive. You’ve got this!

Step 8

– Grab that suction handle and gently lift the left edge of the rear cover, then swing it over to the right, just like you’re opening a book. Easy peasy!

– Now, use the suction handle to hold up the rear cover so you can peek at the ribbon cable hanging out near the top right corner. You’re doing great!

Step 9

– Grab your trusty Torx Plus 3IP screwdriver, and let’s tackle this step like pros! Remove the two screws holding down the cable cover, each one measuring in at 5.2 mm long. You’re doing great!

Step 10

– Grab those tweezers or use your trusty fingers to gently lift off the cable cover. You’re doing great!

Step 11

– Grab a spudger and pop up the rear cover press connector with its pointy end.
