Steps: 15 Steps
Before you dive into disassembling your Note8, make sure the battery is below 25%. It’s a safety thing!
Keep the heat away from your phone; it loves a cool vibe.
Be gentle with that waterproof sealing – we want it to stay sealed tight!
Your phone is a champ and should function smoothly after this.
Let’s help it keep its water-protection intact!
Alright, let’s get this Note8 battery swap party started! Before we dive in, make sure that battery is chillin’ below 25%. We don’t want any unexpected fireworks, right? If your battery’s lookin’ a little puffy, be extra careful. No heat, okay? And maybe throw on some safety glasses for good measure. If you’re feeling a little hesitant, no worries – you can always schedule a repair. Just remember, opening this bad boy up means saying goodbye to the waterproof seal. Don’t stress, though! You’ll be good to go as long as you replace the adhesive when you’re done. We’re gonna be taking off the back cover, so make sure you have some fresh adhesive ready to go when you’re finished. Let’s get this done!
Step 1
– First things first, power down your phone. Let’s make sure we’re not messing with any live wires!
– Grab that trusty iOpener and get ready to soften up the adhesive holding that Note8 back panel in place.
– Time to apply some heat! Place the iOpener along the side where you’ll find the power button. Let’s get that back panel ready to come off.

Step 2
Hey, be cool with that opening pick! You don’t want to go overboard and crack the back cover, right? Just use that suction handle to help things along and let the pick do its thing cutting through the adhesive.
Because the back cover has a little curve, you’ll want to slide the pick in from underneath at a bit of an angle. Just chill, you got this!
If it starts getting a little tough to move the pick, you can always give the iOpener another quick heat-up and put it back on the cover. No worries, we’ve all been there!
– Grab your suction handle and gently lift the back cover, creating a little gap for your trusty pick to join the party.
– Begin in the middle of the side, slicing through that adhesive while you pull upwards with the suction handle. You’ve got this!
– Once you’ve made a little progress, slide the pick down to the bottom corner and leave it there to keep the adhesive from making any sneaky comebacks.
– Now, take another pick and move it up towards the top corner. Keep it going, you’re doing great!

Step 3
– Grab another opening pick and glide it around the corner and along the top edge.
– Reheat with an iOpener if needed.
– Leave the pick at the top right corner to keep the adhesive from sticking again.

Step 4
– Now it’s time to get this device opened up – rotate it and use another opening pick to carefully start separating the adhesive at the bottom.
– Leave that pick in place at the bottom right corner to prevent the adhesive from sealing back up – you’re making great progress! If you need help, you can always schedule a repair
Step 5
Don’t try to muscle it open! Grab an iOpener to gently heat things up and loosen that sticky adhesive if the back cover is being stubborn or starts to warp.
– Once you’ve successfully loosened the adhesive on all three sides, gently lift the back cover like it’s a treasure chest waiting to be opened!
– As you flip the back cover open, keep an eye out for the fingerprint sensor connector. It might be a little shy and need to be disconnected, as we’ll walk you through in the next step.

Step 7
– Alright, let’s get that back cover off!
– Before we put things back together, let’s make sure everything is nice and clean. Give any leftover adhesive a gentle nudge, and then give those areas a quick wipe with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair
Step 8
– Let’s get started by removing the ten Phillips #00 screws. This is the first step in giving your device a brand new life. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair
Step 9
– Let’s get this party started! Use an opening pick at the top edge to carefully separate the NFC antenna and charging coil assembly from the case.
– Now, gently pry the top of the assembly out of the case. We’re almost there!
Step 10
The bottom left part of the assembly is held down with a touch of adhesive, so give it a gentle nudge.
– Gently lift up the entire charging coil and NFC antenna assembly. Let’s keep it smooth and steady!
Step 11
– Now, grab your trusty spudger (that handy little tool!) and gently pry up the battery connector. We’re disconnecting it, so we can keep things safe while we work. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 12
– First, let’s get that battery loose. Apply an iOpener to the display for at least two minutes to weaken the adhesive. If it needs a little more convincing, reheat and reapply as needed.
– If the battery is being stubborn, don’t worry – we’ve got a trick for that. Try applying some isopropyl alcohol under each corner and let it work its magic for a few minutes to help loosen things up. And remember, if you need help, you can always schedule a repair

Step 13
Alright, let’s be careful with that battery! It’s a little sensitive, so we don’t want to get too rough. If you’re not sure, you can always schedule a repair with us.
When you’re prying, you’re right above the mainboard, so be gentle! We don’t want to hurt any of the delicate components.
– Let’s get that battery out! Use the flat end of a spudger to give it a little lift from the top right corner.
– Now, gently pry up the battery until you can slip in an opening pick. This’ll keep the adhesive from sticking back down.
Step 14
When you’re prying, stick to the orange zones – they’re your safe bet. Be sure to steer clear of the red area in the middle, as that’s where the display’s backside is hiding. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair
– Time to get this battery out. Use your trusty spudger to gently pry up the top left corner where the flex cable lives.
– Now, slide that spudger along the side of the battery to break free from any remaining adhesive. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair
