Step 1

– First things first, let’s power down that smartphone! It’s time to give it a little nap.

– Next up, find a cozy and safe spot to lay your smartphone down. We want it to feel secure while we work our magic!

Step 2

– Grab those iFixit Opening Picks and gently work your magic to lift the plastic back off the smartphone.

– **Just a heads up! Don’t tug too hard; the fingerprint sensor cable is snugly attached to the plastic back** (check out the second picture for a visual).

Step 3

– Time to get those covers off! Grab your trusty screwdriver and start unscrewing.

– **Watch out! Be gentle when using the screwdriver around the motherboard—it’s a delicate area!**

Step 4

– With the covers out of the way, take a look at the back of your phone – it should be looking just like this!

Step 5

– First things first, it’s time to say goodbye to the fingerprint sensor. Let’s get that out of the way!

– Feel free to grab the Spudger for this step, but in this video, I’m going with the trusty iFixit Opening Tool. It works like a charm!
