How to Replace ASUS K50IJ Fan Guide: Step-by-Step Tutorial

Sometimes fans get a little too hot under the collar and decide to take a break. Don’t worry, though! This guide is here to walk you through the easy steps to take out the old fan and pop in a shiny new one for your ASUS K50IJ. Let’s get your device back to its cool self!

Step 1

– Gently slide the tab to unlock the battery cover, which is hanging out in the bottom-left corner of your laptop, ready for you to access it!

Step 2

– Gently lift the edge and take off the battery cover.

Step 3

– Give those battery tabs a gentle press and lift them up. The battery should pop right out without any fuss!

Step 4

– Grab your trusty PH1 screwdriver and take on the challenge of removing those four 4 .75 mm screws chilling on the vent panel. You’ve got this!

Step 5

– Unscrew the tiny 0.5 mm screw sitting pretty in the top right corner of the battery compartment. You’ve got this!

Step 6

– Gently slide the bottom panel towards the hinges and lift it up to reveal the back panel. You’ve got this!

Step 7

– Gently wiggle and pull the wire cable connected to the fan until it pops out. You’ve got this!

Step 8

– Grab your trusty PH1 screwdriver and let’s tackle those 3 .75mm screws marked as 1, 2, and 3 on the fan. Just a heads up, these little guys have their labels right next to them, so you can’t miss them!

– Now, gently lift the fan up with your fingers. You’ve got this!
