DIY Guide for Asus 1015E-DS03 Front Screen Trim Replacement

Let’s dive in and tackle the front secret trim removal! Grab your trusty spudger, our hero for the job. It’s time to gently encourage those tabs to release their grip and free the screen from the laptop base. You’ve got this!

Step 1

– Grab your laptop with both hands, making sure the battery is pointing up towards the sky!

Step 2

– Get those thumbs moving! Press down on the two tabs under the battery and bring them together.

Step 3

– Gently nudge the battery upwards and coax it out of the laptop, just like shown.

Step 4

– Keep nudging that battery upwards until it pops right out of the laptop, just like magic!

Step 5

– Gently nudge the back of those tabs that are guarding the hinges linking your screen to the laptop’s base. Think of it as giving them a little encouragement!

– While you’re giving those tabs a gentle nudge, slide the spudger into the gap you’ve opened up until the tab pops off. You’re doing great!

– Now that you’ve successfully pried the case away from the laptop, go ahead and gently pull it off completely. You can use that handy plastic opening tool or just your fingers – whatever feels good for you!
