Ready to tackle that device of yours? Let’s dive in! You’ll be amazed at how simple it can be to fix things up. Grab your tools and let’s turn that tech frown upside down. If you find yourself in a bit of a pickle, don’t worry! Just remember, you can always schedule a repair. Let’s get started!

Step 1

– Get all your tools ready for action.

– Now’s your chance to put our iOpener Kit and our 64-Bit Driver Kit to the test!

Tools Used
  1. iOpener Kit

Step 2

– Lay the iOpener pad across the phone. We’ll kick things off near the top since the bottom’s got more cracks.

– Once the screen’s warmed up, use a suction cup to carefully lift the screen.

– Gently slide an opening pick into the gap between the screen and the phone.

– Keep working your way around the edges, adding more opening picks and extra heat if necessary. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 3

– Once you’ve created enough of a gap between the screen and the phone, you’ll see that the LCD is held to the housing with some seriously strong adhesive – typical Samsung!

– Despite our best efforts, the already cracked screen might crack a bit more. You can separate the screen assembly from the phone, but you’ll need some heat and patience to slowly work it loose (as shown by @cclarkcarroll, http://pixady.com/image/sm9/ ). These screens are SUPER thin and fragile!

– We recommend wearing gloves because these thin LCDs can be a real pain when they start to shatter.

– The digitizer might separate from the LCD during removal, so don’t worry.

Step 4

– Once you’ve successfully separated the screen from your phone, give it a little flip so you can access the screen connector like a pro.

– You’ll find the connector snugly tucked under a plastic cover, which is just waiting for you to pop it off with your trusty plastic pry tool.

– After you’ve removed that cover, gently detach the screen connector from the phone board, and you’re one step closer to a happy device!

Step 5

– Once you’ve successfully removed the cracked screen assembly, it’s time to give those buttons a little warmth to help them transition to their new home. A little heat goes a long way!

– Next up, peel off the adhesive from the new assembly and carefully position the buttons. Just a heads up, once they’re stuck, they’re not going anywhere!

– Now, connect the new screen assembly to the board and pop on that plastic cover. You’re almost there!

– Before you seal the deal by adhering the new screen, we suggest giving the phone a quick test run. Better safe than sorry!

Step 6

– Once you’ve confirmed that the new screen assembly works like a charm, remove the adhesive cover and align the screen with precision.

– Gently press around the screen to make sure it seals properly.

– Voilà! Enjoy your rejuvenated phone once more! If you need help, you can always schedule a repair
