Hey there repair rockstar! Time to tackle the motherboard removal dance. Get ready to boogie with your phone’s components. Grab your trusty guitar pick, heat gun, tweezers, screwdriver, and plastic opening tools for this jam session. Remember, safety first – make sure you know the tool tango before diving in. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 1

– Slide your fingernail or a plastic opening tool into the little notch at the top of the rear-facing camera.

– Carefully pry and twist the flexible rear cover away from the back of the phone.

Step 2

– Gently pop out the SIM card using your fingers.

Step 3

– Wedge your fingernail or a plastic tool into the little notch at the bottom right corner of the battery and pry it up with a gentle lift.

– Slide the battery out and away from the phone like a pro.

Step 4

– First off, pop out the battery, SIM card, and MicroSD card to avoid any mishaps when things get toasty. Trust me, you don’t want to roast those goodies!

– Grab a heat gun and hold it about 2-3 inches away from your phone. Give it some warmth to loosen the adhesive under the display.

Step 5

– Begin at the top left corner and gently slide a guitar pick between the display and the phone case.

Step 6

– Grab that trusty pick and gently slide it in the direction shown to help lift the display. You’ve got this!

Step 7

– Grab your trusty pick and carefully slide it along the sides and bottom of the display to gently lift it up. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 8

– Grab your guitar pick and give that screen a gentle lift, just a tad!

Step 9

– Gently raise the upper end of the display assembly just a bit—no need to take it off completely!

Step 10

– Grab a guitar pick and gently lift the front panel assembly cable connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard.

– Carefully detach the front panel assembly from the phone.

Step 11

– Grab your Phillips 0 screwdriver and twirl out all 12 of those cheeky Phillips #0 screws.

Step 12

– Give the back of your phone a little push (where the battery should sit) to pop out the large gray piece.

Step 13

– You should now have two separate pieces in front of you. From this point on, we’ll be focusing on the piece that contains the motherboard, which is shown on the right side of the picture. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair

– Go ahead and gently pry apart the rear-facing camera from the motherboard using your finger or a trusty plastic opening tool. You’ve got this!

Step 15

– Now it’s time to carefully detach the rear-facing camera from the motherboard – just use your hands and a gentle touch to set it free.

Step 16

– Give that proximity/light sensor a gentle nudge with your finger or a trusty plastic opening tool to disconnect it from the motherboard.

Step 17

– Get your paws on some tweezers and carefully give a little tug to that proximity/light sensor buddy. It’s time to say goodbye!

– Time to whip out those nimble fingers or grab your trusty plastic opening tool. Gently unplug the 3 button ribbon cable from the motherboard. You’ve got this!

Step 19

– Grab your trusty plastic opening tool and give that blue wire a gentle unplug as shown in the picture. You got this!

Step 20

– Once you disconnect it, the motherboard should practically waltz out.

– The motherboard should look just like what’s in the picture.
