Hey there! Just a quick heads-up: make sure you’ve got all your tools ready before diving into this repair. And remember, if you need help, you can always schedule a repair. Let’s get to fixing!
Ready to bring your Mid 2009 MacBook Pro back to life? This guide will help you swap out that pesky non-working Bluetooth board in the Anti-Glare model. Just a heads up, if you have the Glossy display, you won’t find this Bluetooth card mounted on the display; it’s hiding under the clutch cover. Let’s get started!
Step 1
– Time to get your screwdriver ready! Unscrew those ten little screws that are holding the lower case snugly against the upper case. You’ve got this!
Step 2
– Grab the lower case with both hands and gently lift it near the vent to release it from the upper case’s clips.
– Take off the lower case and put it aside.
Step 3
Gently slide the connector parallel to the logic board’s surface; avoid pulling straight up.
Step 4
One of the screws might just decide to hang out in the Bluetooth/camera cable ground loop. If you’re swapping out the display, don’t forget to bring this little guy over to the new unit!
– Unleash the magic: Unscrew the two 8 mm Phillips screws holding down the Bluetooth/camera cable retainer to the upper case.
– Voila! Lift the Bluetooth board/cable retainer assembly out of the upper case.
Step 5
– Gently remove the one little Phillips screw that’s holding the Bluetooth board in place on its cozy retainer.
– Lift up the Bluetooth board from its comfy retainer, like a pro.
