Android tablet Nobis NB09 Screen Replacement
Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 4 Steps
Here’s how to swap out the screen on your Nobis NB09 tablet. Since the screen is the main way you interact with your device, a busted or unresponsive display can turn your tablet into little more than a fancy paperweight. Keep an eye out for shattered glass shards, and make sure to use ESD-safe tools along with an anti-static mat and wristband to keep everything safe and sound.
Step 1
When you’re gently prying off the back of your tablet, just keep an eye on those ports. A little too much pressure, and you might find yourself with some unsightly cracks. Stay cool and go slow!
– Let’s get started by taking out those two 00 Phillips screws sitting pretty on the right side of your tablet.
– Next, grab your trusty plastic opening tools! Use them to gently wiggle and pop the back off your tablet. Easy peasy!
Step 2
Hey there! To keep your device’s circuits safe from the sneaky ESD (Electro-Static Discharge), it’s a great idea to rock a grounding bracelet while you work. Safety first, right?
– Peel off the electrical tape hiding the motherboard underneath.
– Unscrew the four 4.0 mm T4 Torx screws that secure the motherboard to the tablet’s front half.
– Clear away any leftover sticky tape in the area you just exposed.
– Gently pop up the little black locking tabs on each ribbon cable connector, then carefully unplug the pins.
Step 3
– Locate the little notch on the digitizer, it’s hanging out on the left side of your device.
– Grab your Phillips Screwdriver and gently nudge that notch to lift the digitizer away from the screen.
Step 4
– Carefully slide the digitizer out of its clips to free it from the screen.
– The digitizer should now be fully separated from the screen, ready to move on to the next step.
