Get ready to dive into the fun world of replacing your upper case! It’s easier than you think and totally doable with a bit of pep in your step. Let’s get cracking and bring that device back to life!

Step 1

– Give those battery release tabs a gentle nudge away from the battery with your fingers, and lift that battery out of the computer like you’re lifting a slice of pizza!

Step 2

– Unscrew the trio of identical Phillips screws securing the memory door. Let’s get this party started!

– Gently lift up the memory door just enough to grab it comfortably, then slide it toward yourself and pull it away from the casing like you’re performing a magic trick. Voila!

– Take out the two 2.8 mm Phillips screws chilling in the battery compartment near the latch.

– Unscrew the ten snazzy Phillips screws holding the keyboard to its stylish casing.

– Alright, team! At the back edge of the keyboard, you’ll find four cheeky locking tabs keeping it snug as a bug. Let’s gently straighten these tabs out to set the keyboard free!

– Check out the first frame where the tab is all locked up, and the second frame where it’s free and unlocked!

– Grab your needlenose pliers or a spudger and jazz up those four tabs until they’re all chilling in the ‘unlocked’ position.

– Gently wiggle the keyboard ribbon free from its connector.

– Unplug the Bluetooth antenna cable from the Bluetooth board like a boss!

– Remove the Bluetooth board along with the attached cable from the upper case.

– For installing the new upper case, fit your existing Bluetooth board, antenna, and keyboard into the new case and put your computer back together.
