Step 2
– Unscrew the trio of identical Phillips screws securing the memory door. Let’s get this party started!

– Gently lift up the memory door just enough to grab it comfortably, then slide it toward yourself and pull it away from the casing like you’re performing a magic trick. Voila!

– Take out the two 2.8 mm Phillips screws chilling in the battery compartment near the latch.

– Unscrew the four 3.2 mm Phillips screws on the port side of the computer. Let’s get those pesky screws out and make this repair a breeze!

– Twist your device 90 degrees and unscrew the two 3.2 mm Phillips screws at the back. Easy peasy!

– Twist your computer 90 degrees one more time and unscrew the four 3.2 mm Phillips screws from the computer’s side. Keep going, you’re doing great!

Hold your horses! Gently ease the upper case away, as it’s still connected to the logic board with a sneaky little ribbon cable.
– Start by lifting the rear end of the case, then wiggle your fingers along the sides to loosen it. Continue until the sides are free. You might have to gently rock the case back and forth to disengage the front clips—those sneaky plastic clips need a bit of coaxing to come off!

– Unplug the trackpad and keyboard ribbon cable from the logic board, peeling away any tape that gets in your way.
– Lift off the upper case and set it aside.

– Grab your spudger and give that brown plastic flap a little flip to unlock the ribbon cable for the keyboard backlight. Easy peasy!

– Gently peel back the black protective sheath on the right side of the upper case. No need to take it off completely—just enough to sneak a peek at the screws hiding beneath.

– Unscrew the ten snazzy Phillips screws holding the keyboard to its stylish casing.

– Gently lift the black Bluetooth antenna holder away from the upper case. It’s like lifting a feather!

– Unplug the Bluetooth antenna cable from the Bluetooth board like a boss!
Step 28
– Yo, it’s time to free your Bluetooth antenna from its cozy home in the upper case. This little buddy is stuck down with some sticky adhesive, so give it a gentle wiggle from side to side. This will help loosen it up and make it easier to lift out. Keep it chill and you’ll have it out in no time!

– Unscrew the lone Phillips screw that’s holding the Bluetooth board in place on the lower case. Almost there, you’re doing great!

– Gently persuade the Bluetooth data cable to let go of its sticky embrace with the upper case. You got this!

– Unplug the Bluetooth data cable from the upper case.
– Remove the Bluetooth board along with the attached cable from the upper case.
– Keep the upper case as is.
– For installing the new upper case, fit your existing Bluetooth board, antenna, and keyboard into the new case and put your computer back together.
