Step 1
Keep an eye on those volume buttons—they have a sneaky way of bouncing right out of the case! Make sure they don’t go MIA on you.
– Gently pop off the back panel using a trusty plastic opening tool—give it a little nudge and watch it lift off!
– Slide the panel away from the device with a smooth pull—like a pro.
Step 2
Pop up those white locking tabs by gently lifting their upper edge—the side farthest from the battery. They swing open like tiny doors running along the width of the connector.
– First, let’s get started by unlocking those ZIF connectors on the data cables – it’s easier than you think.
– Next, gently pull downward on the tabs to remove the cable from its slot. Take your time, you got this!
– Now, when you’re reassembling, make sure the touchscreen cables are fully seated. If they’re not, you might end up with some unresponsive areas on your touchscreen – and nobody wants that. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair
Step 3
– First, hunt down that battery connector by tracing the wires that come from the top right of the battery. When you’re ready to disconnect, give those wires a gentle lift. If they’re feeling a bit stubborn, grab a spudger or a blue plastic opening tool to help coax them up. You got this!

Be gentle with that battery, it’s got a soft outer layer – if you tear it, you might end up with a chemical leak on your hands!
– Time to set that battery free. Use a spudger to carefully pry it up – it’s glued down, so you’ll need to apply a bit of gentle pressure.

– Remove the two Philip’s #000 2 mm screws found on the left and right sides of the speaker housing. You’ve got this!
Step 6
– Time to track down those speaker wires – they’re hiding to the left of the battery. Gently pull up on the connector to remove it. If it’s being stubborn, you can use a tool to carefully pry it loose.
Step 7
– Use a spudger or a similar tool to carefully pop the GPS Antenna cable straight up. Look for the grey wire—it’s running along the right side of the device, making its way from the speaker housing to the logic board. You’ve got this!

– Time to get this GPS antenna out! Use a spudger to carefully pry it away from the bottom of the speaker housing – it’s like freeing a tiny captive.
– With the GPS antenna now removed from its cozy spot at the bottom of the speaker housing, you can go ahead and take it out of the device. Nice work!
