ASUS PadFone X Battery Replacement Guide: Step-by-Step DIY

– Grab your trusty blue plastic opening tool, and slide the tip into the groove between the back cover and your phone. Gently pry it up.

– Keep working your way around the phone until the entire back cover pops loose.

– Grab your Torx T5 bit and gently remove those 13 – 3.6 mm screws. You’ve got this!

Step 3

– Grab your trusty blue plastic opening tool and gently slide the tip into the groove between the mid-frame and the phone. Give it a little upward nudge!

– Keep working your way around the phone like a pro, until the whole back cover is feeling loose – then simply lift off the mid-frame to set it free!

Step 4

Be gentle, my friend! Too much muscle might just hurt that connector.

– Grab that trusty blue plastic opening tool and carefully pop the battery cable off the motherboard. Easy does it!

The battery is stuck on there pretty securely with some double-sided tape, so don’t be shy—give it a gentle nudge while prying it out!
