Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 4 Steps
The front facing camera is protected by the screen but if the screen is broke, it might affect the front facing camera. A quick replacement of front facing camera can help the user in the future.
Step 1
– Unplug the dock, and double-check that everything’s powered down—safety first!
– Grab your trusty plastic opening tool and carefully ease up the screen to free the tablet body from its outer rim casing. It’s like unlocking a secret level!
– Take your time near the charging port—those thinner plastic bits can be sneaky fragile. Be gentle, like it’s your favorite vinyl record!
Step 2
For most of the replacement steps, there’s no need to pop out the battery once you’ve flipped the switch off. Just keep your metal tools away from any sensitive spots to avoid any accidental short-circuits. You’re doing great!
– Gently lift up that black circuit board protector—it’s like uncovering a treasure!
– Before diving in, power down the tablet by flipping the hard power switch to ‘off’. Grab a plastic tool and slide that switch to the magic ‘off’ position. Safety first!
Step 3
– Grab a Phillips #00 Screwdriver and unscrew those six 3mm screws that keep the upper part of the motherboard secured—easy peasy!
– Use tweezers to gently unhook the red connecting wires. Then, give that motherboard a lift upward—careful, it’s a delicate move!
