Having trouble getting your Asus Transformer Pad (TF103C) to charge? Or maybe the battery seems to take a nap way too soon? No worries, we’re here to help you replace that battery! This process is a breeze and can be done in just 5 simple steps. You’ll need some basic tools, but feel free to grab whatever you have lying around. Just a heads-up: punctured batteries can lead to some serious fire hazards, so handle with care! If you find yourself feeling a bit overwhelmed, you can always schedule a repair.
Step 1
Before diving in, double-check that the SD card slot is empty. Trust me, future-you will thank you!
If you don’t have an opening tool on hand, a thin screwdriver works just as well to get the job done.
– First things first, power down your device – we don’t need any surprise zaps!
– Now, take your trusty plastic opening tool and gently slide it into a little crack on the side of your tablet.
– With a bit of finesse, give that tool a careful upward pull to pop open the Transformer pad. You got this!
Step 2
– Gently wiggle the tool into the gap, then glide it along all four sides, steadily lifting the tool upwards as you go.
Step 3
– Time to get started! Remove the back cover once it’s loose, and set it aside where it’s safe and sound.
– Now, rotate the tablet to match the picture – easy peasy!
Step 4
– Gently disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard by holding onto the wires near the black piece and carefully pulling it out of the housing. You’ve got this!
Step 5
Swap out that old battery for a shiny new +3.7V=19Wh Li-polymer Battery Pack C11P1328! You’ll be back in business in no time.
Just a heads up, there might be some tape holding that battery in place. So, if you hear a bit of a pull while prying, don’t worry—it’s all part of the process!
– You made it. To put everything back together, just reverse the steps you followed to get here.
– If you need help or want to make sure everything is done correctly, you can always schedule a repair
Success!
