Chromebook Pixel (2013) Battery Replacement

Step 1
– Set your Chromebook Pixel upside down, so its back is facing up.
– Grab a flathead screwdriver and carefully pop off those sneaky rubber pads—you’ll find the screws hiding underneath.
Step 2
– Grab a small Phillips screwdriver and unscrew the four sneaky screws hiding under the rubber pads.
– Take a spudger (or any flat, slightly blunt tool) and gently work your way around the edge to pop the laptop open—slow and steady wins this race.
– Starting with a slim tool makes it easier, then swap to something a bit bigger once you’ve got a gap going.
Step 3
– Carefully lift the front of your laptop and open it up like you’re cracking open a clamshell. Nice and smooth!
Step 4
– First things first, find that sneaky write protect screw!
– Once you’ve got it out of the way, you’re all set to start flashing your BIOS. Let’s do this!
Step 5
– At this point, make sure your Chromebook Pixel is flipped over and the bottom cover is off. You’re on the right track, keep going!
Step 6
– Unscrew the battery’s screws to free it up.
Step 7
– Gently pull on the battery using a splunger or your finger to unplug it from the logic board.
– Now, carefully slide the battery out towards you to remove it.
Step 8
– Double-check that the wattage and voltage match the specifications of the old battery to keep everything running smoothly. Staying within the right power range ensures your device stays happy and healthy. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.

– Put everything back together by working through the steps in reverse order, then power up your Pixel.
