Step 1

– Grab a thin blade or knife to gently lift the bottom pads, then peel them off. Keep them flat so they’ll be ready to go back in during reassembly. Easy does it, and if you need a hand, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 2

– To get into the mouse, you’ll need to unscrew four T5 screws. Remember, the two at the front are the shorter ones, while the two at the rear are the long ones. You’ve got this!

Step 3

– As you tackle the wheel removal, keep your wits about you—there’s a sneaky spring lurking underneath! Gently pry at the front of the wheel to prevent any surprise pops, and give the back the same careful treatment.

Step 4

– Grab your compressed air and give that mouse wheel a spa day—there’s a surprising amount of hair hiding in there! Blow it out so your mouse rolls smoothly again.

Step 5

– To disable the blue button functionality, gently pop off the connector shown. If you’d prefer to keep that feature, just leave it as is. For any help along the way, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 6

– You’ll spot some connectors at the back of the mouse—unplug these to turn off the feedback feature.

Step 7

– Use a small Phillips head screwdriver to remove the tiny screws holding the sides and rear circuit board—these are usually pretty straightforward. Keep a flat-head Phillips screwdriver handy for the laser assembly on the reverse side, as those screws stay put. Take your time, and if you need a hand, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 8

– If your device’s batteries have corroded, start by inspecting the mounts carefully. It’s a good idea to use a multimeter to check for continuity on the circuit board—this helps ensure everything’s still connected and working. For more complex issues, remember you can always schedule a repair with Salvation Repair.

Success!
Now it’s time to put your device back together! Just work your way through these steps in reverse, and you’ll be back in action in no time.
If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.
