Step 1
– Flip your device over and spot the battery latch hanging out near the front. You’re on the right track!

– Give that latch a little nudge to the left, and watch the battery pop right out!

– Find the latch for the CD-ROM Drive.
Step 5
– Give that latch a gentle nudge to the right and watch as the CD ROM drive pops free, ready for action!

Find a cozy spot for your CD ROM drive to chill out safely.
– Keep holding that latch tight and gently slide the CD-ROM Drive out of the device like you’re pulling a rabbit out of a hat!

– Find that sneaky little speaker cover!

– Give the speaker cover a nice, firm squeeze at each end and slide it towards the left like a pro!

– Carefully pop off the speaker cover to set it free.

– Carefully lift the keyboard until just the ribbon cable is left holding on for dear life.

– Find those six little screws that are keeping the heatsink cozy and secure. Time to give them a gentle nudge!

– Using your trusty Philips #1 screwdriver, go ahead and take out those six screws holding the heatsink in place. You’ve got this!

– Gently lift the heatsink starting from the edge nearest to the laptop screen. Give it a little nudge, and it should pop right up!

– Carefully lift the beige ribbon lock until it moves a little on both sides, helping to disconnect the ribbon cable from the connector with ease.
