DIY Guide to Replace Galaxy S6 Edge Back Cover
Duration: 15 min.
Steps: 3 Steps
In this guide, we’re here to help you swap out the back cover of your iPhone S6 Edge if it’s seen better days. Whether it’s cracked, broken, or you’re just itching for a fresh color, we’ve got you covered! Let’s get to it!
Step 1
– The back cover of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is held on pretty tight with glue. To get it off, you’ll want to warm it up with a heat gun to loosen that adhesive. Once it’s nice and toasty, grab a plastic pick and gently slide it into the tiny gap between the frame and the glass to break the seal.
– Speaking of gaps, the space between the aluminum frame and the glass is quite snug. A flat, sturdy object will work wonders to help you sneak in there.
– Now, carefully lift the back cover using a suction cup for some extra grip.
– Once you’ve opened up a little space, slide in the plastic pick to keep the aluminum safe from any accidental damage.
Step 2
The back cover has a stylish paint job on the inside. Gently remove any sticky residue to keep it looking sharp and avoid any unsightly scratches or cracks.
– Gently slide the pick in about two or three millimeters between the back cover and the frame. This little move helps keep the insides safe and sound! Remember, the back cover has a paint job on the inside, so be careful when removing any sticky residue to avoid those pesky scratches or cracks.
– The back cover is glued all around the outer edge of the Galaxy S6 Edge. Just take your pick and glide it around the entire phone like you’re giving it a little hug.
– Once you’ve freed up all that glue, you can carefully lift the back cover off. You’re doing great!
Step 3
– Peel off all that pesky film from the inside of the back cover. It’s like unwrapping a present!
– Once that’s done, pop the back cover back on, give it a gentle warm-up, and then apply a bit of pressure to secure it onto your smartphone for a little while. You’re doing great!
