Swapping out the display is a moderately challenging task, but don’t worry, you’ve got this! You’ll need a few tools like a guitar pick and a heat gun. Make sure you’re familiar with the safety protocols for these tools before diving in. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 1

– Slide your fingernail or a trusty plastic opening tool into the little notch at the top of the rear-facing camera.

– Carefully pop and twist the flexible rear cover off the back of your phone—it’s like unwrapping a surprise!

Step 2

– Slide a fingernail or a trusty plastic opening tool into the little gap in the bottom right corner of the battery and give it a gentle lift upwards.

– Carefully pull the battery away from the phone, and just like that, you’ve made some progress!

Step 3

– Gently use your digits to pop out the SIM card

Step 4

– First things first, let’s make sure to give your device a little makeover. Remove the battery, SIM card, and MicroSD card to keep them safe from the heat coming their way. We wouldn’t want them to throw a fit later, right?

– Now, it’s time to bring out the heat gun! Hold it about 2-3 inches away from the phone like a boss, and let the magic happen. The goal here is to give that adhesive in the display a little nudge to loosen up. You got this!
