Fairphone 5 Loudspeaker Replacement

Ready to bring some sound back to your Fairphone 5? Follow this guide to swap out that broken loudspeaker with ease. Let’s get those tunes bumping again!
Step 1
Simultaneously press the power button and the volume up button to open up the shutdown menu. Let’s get that device powered down!
– Disconnect every cable in sight and give your phone a proper shutdown.
Step 2
– Carefully slip your fingernail, or a trusty pry tool like a spudger, into the notch at the bottom right corner of the back cover.
– Now, gently pry the back cover up to release those clips on the bottom right corner. Take your time – you got this!

Step 3
– Grab the bottom right corner of the back cover with one hand while giving the phone frame a little support with the other. You’ve got this!
– Gently lift the back cover away from the phone to pop those clips free around the edges. It’s like a little magic trick!
– Take the back cover off and admire your handy work. Well done!
– When it’s time to put everything back together, just line up the back cover over the phone and press down around the edges until you hear all the clips click back into place. Easy peasy!
Step 4
– Gently lift the battery using your trusty fingernail or a nifty pry tool like a spudger, grasping that tab at the bottom edge.
– Next up, it’s time to say goodbye to the battery – just remove it!
– When you’re putting everything back together, remember to slide the top edge of the new battery into its cozy spot in the frame before pressing it down snugly.

Step 5
– Grab your trusty Phillips driver and let’s get those five 4.9 mm-long screws out that are holding the loudspeaker in place. You’ve got this!
Step 6
– Time to put your device back together! Just retrace your steps and follow these instructions in reverse.
