Step 1
To ensure the battery sticks like a charm, you’ll want to get rid of all that old adhesive and any pesky residue.
If you’re hitting a snag, try dabbing a few drops of super-concentrated (over 90%) isopropyl alcohol on the adhesive and scrape it away.
– Grab the flat end of your trusty spudger and scrape off every bit of that old adhesive from the frame—nice and easy!
– Use your fingers or a pair of tweezers to pluck off those bigger chunks like a pro.

– Got all the old adhesive off? Sweet! Now sprinkle your frame with a few drops of super potent (90% or more) isopropyl alcohol. Let the magic happen—wipe away any leftover residue using a microfiber or lint-free cloth. Clean slate, here we come!

– Place the battery into its spot and connect it to the logic board just to double-check the fit and ensure the cable isn’t too short. You want everything to line up perfectly before you stick it down.
– Once you’re confident everything’s in place, disconnect the battery and set it aside for the next step.
