Bluetooth gone silent? Time for an antenna swap!
Step 2
– Unscrew the trio of identical Phillips screws holding the memory door in place. Let’s make this memory door dance!
Step 3
– Gently lift the memory door just enough to get a good grip on it, then slide it toward yourself and pull it away from the casing like you’re unveiling a magic trick!
Step 4
– Unscrew the two 2.8 mm Phillips head screws chilling by the latch in the battery compartment.

– Alright, let’s dive right in and unscrew the following 6 screws:

– Unscrew those four 3.2 mm Phillips screws on the port side of your computer like a pro! You’ve got this!
Step 7
– Twist the computer 90 degrees and unscrew the two 3.2 mm Phillips screws from the back. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.
Step 8
– Twist your computer 90 degrees once more and unscrew those four 3.2 mm Phillips screws hanging out on the side. You’ve got this!
Step 9
Take it easy when removing the upper case! It’s connected to the logic board with a ribbon cable, so a gentle approach is best.
– Start by lifting the rear of the case and gently work your fingers along the sides, loosening the case as you go. Once the sides are loosened, you might need to gently rock the case up and down to release the front of the upper case. There are a few sneaky plastic clips hidden there that need a little coaxing to pop off.
Step 10
– Unplug the trackpad and keyboard ribbon cables from the logic board, peeling off any tape that gets in your way.
– Whisk away the upper case.
Step 11
– Unplug the Bluetooth antenna cable from the Bluetooth board with a smile.
Step 12
– Unscrew that lone Phillips screw holding the Bluetooth board snugly to the lower case. You’ve got this!
Step 13
– Gently lift the Bluetooth data cable away from the sticky adhesive on the upper case. You’ve got this!
Step 14
– Unplug the Bluetooth data cable from the upper case like a boss.
– Gently lift the Bluetooth board with the attached cable right off the upper case—it’s as easy as pie!
