Step 2

– Time to get your screwdriver ready! Unscrew those three identical Phillips screws from the memory door and let’s keep this repair rolling!

Step 3

– Gently lift the memory door just enough to get a good hold on it, then slide it toward you while pulling it away from the casing. You’ve got this!

Step 4

– Pop out those two 2.8 mm Phillips screws chilling in the battery compartment near the latch. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 5

– Time to unscrew some stuff! Take out the following 6 screws:

Step 6

– Unscrew the four 3.2 mm Phillips screws chilling on the port side of your computer.

Step 7

– Give your computer a little twirl, spinning it 90 degrees, and then take out the two 3.2 mm Phillips screws hanging out at the back.

Step 8

– Twist the computer 90 degrees one more time, and carefully remove the four 3.2 mm Phillips screws from the computer’s side.

Step 9

– Gently lift the back of the case and let your fingers dance along the sides, loosening it as you go. Once the sides are free, give the case a little wiggle up and down to release the front of the upper case (there are some sneaky plastic clips that need a gentle nudge to pop off).

Step 10

– Unplug the trackpad and keyboard ribbon cable from the logic board, and peel away any tape if needed.

– Lift off the upper case.

Step 11

– Get ready to party with your phone repair by removing those two Phillips screws that are casually securing the black antenna holder to the upper case.

– Give that black Bluetooth antenna holder the VIP treatment by lifting it off of the upper case with style.

Step 12

– Unplug the Bluetooth antenna cable from the Bluetooth board and let the good times roll!

Step 13

– Gently wiggle the Bluetooth antenna out of its cozy spot in the upper case. It’s stuck on there with some adhesive, so a little side-to-side rocking might just do the trick to free it up.
