How to Replace PlayStation 2 Slimline SCPH-750xx Shell
Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 7 Steps
Ready to give your PlayStation 2 Slimline a fresh new look? This guide will walk you through the steps to swap out that outer shell with confidence and ease!
Step 1
– Power down your PlayStation 2 and unplug it from the wall—safety first! Oh, and don’t forget to pop that CD out of the console before you flip it upside down. Trust us, it’ll make things way easier.
Step 2
You’ll find five of these little feet right out in the open, but the last one is playing hide and seek under the black void sticker on the back of your device. Sneaky, right?
Now, if you’re working with a console version like the PAL Version, it might be sticker-free. No worries! In that case, the foot or screw should be easy to spot.
– Find the six little feet at the base of your PS2.
Step 4
– Peel off the sticker and remove the 6th foot. Easy peasy!
Step 5
– Once you’ve bid adieu to all the feet, grab your Phillips #1 screwdriver and liberate those six 4.0mm screws from the base of the PS2.

Step 6
You may need to apply some gentle force to detach the covers. Be careful not to break the plastic screw pins.
– Alright, once you’ve got all those screws out, it’s time to pop apart the plastic covers. Start by gently prying up the side with the power cable and Ethernet port—take it slow and steady! Then, move to the opposite side and lift it up to completely separate the two halves. Easy does it!
Step 7
– To put your device back together, just follow these steps in reverse.
